Ramayana is one of the most awaited films of Diwali 2026, and fans have been eagerly waiting for more glimpses of "India's most expensive film ever." Recently,
reports suggested that the trailer of Ranbir Kapoor, Yash and Sai Pallavi's mythological epic would release next week. However, the makers have now revealed the official date. Yes, the wait is finally over! On Saturday, they shared an announcement, confirming that the trailer will premiere worldwide on July 24. Describing it as one of Bharat's greatest civilisational epics, the makers stated that the film is set to embark on a new journey on an unprecedented scale in Indian cinema. The announcement has added to fans' excitement for Nitesh Tiwari's adaptation of the Hindu epic.
Ramayana Trailer Release Date CONFIRMED!
The makers have confirmed, "From Bharat to the world, the Ramayana trailer premieres worldwide on 24th July, 2026."
Sharing the official release date, they added, "For thousands of years, the Ramayana has inspired generations through its timeless ideals of dharma,maryada, courage and compassion. Now, it begins a new journey. One of Bharat's greatest civilisational epics, presented to the world, at a scale never attempted before in Indian cinema."
Earlier, reports suggested that the trailer would release on July 18. However, the makers have now officially announced the date, putting all rumours to rest. Fans are eagerly waiting to witness the grand world of Ramayana and get a glimpse of the much-anticipated epic.
Ramayana is a two-part project. The first one, titled Ramayana: Part 1 - The Introduction, is slated to release in theatres this Diwali.

Ranbir Kapoor is set to portray Lord Rama, while Sai Pallavi will play Sita. Yash will be seen as the powerful antagonist Ravana. The film also features Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman, Arun Govil as King Dasharath, Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, Indira Krishnan as Kaushalya, Sheeba Chaddha as Manthara, Kajal Aggarwal as Mandodari, Rakul Preet Singh as Surpanakha, Adinath Kothare as Bharat, Sonia Balani as Urmila and Kunal Kapoor as Indra.

AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer have come together to compose the mythological drama's score.
