latest reports suggest that Telugu actor Ram Pothineni could be joining the project in a crucial role. According to reports, Ram Pothineni is being lined up to play Rajinikanth's son-in-law, who is also expected to be the central antagonist in the action drama. The film is backed by Kamal Haasan and also stars Simran and Raashii Khanna. It mark Ashwath Marimuthu's first collaboration with Superstar Rajinikanth.

Dharman began filming on June 25 and is being produced by Kamal Haasan under his RKFI banner. Although details about the storyline remain under wraps, reports about Ram Pothineni's possible addition to the cast have created quite a stir on social media. According to the reports, Ram Pothineni could play Rajinikanth's son-in-law in the film, with his character reportedly said to be the main antagonist. However, neither the actor nor the makers have confirmed the development yet. If the reports prove accurate, Dharman would mark Ram Pothineni's first Tamil-language project and his first collaboration with Rajinikanth.
The actor, who has appeared in films such as Devadasu, Ready, Kandireega, Nenu Sailaja and iSmart Shankar, was last seen in Andhra King Taluka.
He is currently working on RAPO23, his upcoming directorial debut. Ram Pothineni is directing the film, playing the lead and serving as its story writer. The project is being produced by his brother Krishna Pothineni under Rapo Cinematics and is described as a large-scale neo-noir psychological action thriller.
What We Know About Dharman
Ashwath Marimuthu has previously rejected speculation that Dharman is a remake of the Netflix series The Good Doctor. While the makers have maintained secrecy around the plot, the film has already attracted attention because of its star-studded cast and creative team. Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music, while Niketh Bommi is handling the cinematography. Pradeep E Ragav is the editor, with acclaimed action choreographers Anbariv overseeing the stunt sequences. Simran is playing the female lead and will reunite with Rajinikanth after their 2019 film Petta. She will also share the screen with Kamal Haasan's production after previously working with him in Panchathanthiram and Pammal K Sambandam, both released in 2002. Raashii Khanna is another confirmed member of the cast.
Meanwhile, reports have also linked Mysskin and Rukmini Vasanth to Dharman. However, their casting has not been officially announced.
