Even after Bigg Boss 19 wrapped up, the reality show continues to make headlines, with former contestants raising questions about its authenticity. Tanya
Mittal and Malti Chahar’s post-finale remarks have reignited the long-standing debate around whether the show is truly unscripted or subtly guided by the makers. Addressing these allegations head-on, Bigg Boss 19 creative Deepak Dhar has now reacted in an exclusive conversation with Telly Talk India/Times Now, firmly denying claims of scripting and creative interference.
This is an unscripted show: Bigg Boss maker
Responding toTanya Mittal speaking against the show and suggesting that she was insulted during her journey, Deepak Dhar dismissed the allegations outright. Emphasising the format of the reality show, he said, “Wo kuch nahi hai. Ye unscripted show hai. To hum agar ghar ke andar kuch script nahi kar paate hain aur karne bhi nahi dete hain to bahar bhi hum log kuch nahi control karte hain. Ye sabka apna-apna you know personality hai. Unko jo bolna hai hum usko kuch control nahi karte hain. Wo you know this is this is truly unscripted in the house and outside the house.”
(It’s nothing like that. This is an unscripted show. If we cannot script anything inside the house and don’t allow it, then we don’t control anything outside either. Everyone has their own personality. We don’t control what they want to say. This is truly unscripted inside the house and outside the house.)
BB producer reacts to Malti Chahar's allegations
Dhar further addressed Malti Chahar’s allegation that creatives had instructed contestants on what to say after coming out of the house. Clarifying the statement, he explained, “Malti bahar aane ke baad unhone ye bola tha ki creatives ne humein bola tha ki aisa aisa bolne ka ‘Hum kis-kis ko kya-kya bole to wo jisko jo bolna hai wo bole.’”
(After coming out, Malti said that creatives told them what to say - who should say what to whom - but ultimately, everyone is free to say whatever they want.)
Earlier, Tanya Mittal had shared her emotional experience from the show, telling India Today, “I think I was treated in the worst manner. But when I went to sleep, I would feel that this is my destiny, and smile. I really believe that nothing bad happens with good people. But I must add, I have been insulted a lot on this show. Honestly, that has hit my self-esteem a lot.”

While Tanya’s comments reflected her personal hurt and emotional struggle inside the Bigg Boss house, the makers continue to maintain that individual experiences vary based on personalities, conflicts, and situations that naturally arise in an unscripted environment. Deepak Dhar has reiterated that the show does not control contestants’ words or actions - either inside or outside the house.
