What is the story about?
Designed to blend myth, scale, and spectacle, actor-producer Yash will soon be seen in Ramayana, co-starring Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi. Ramayana has
become one of the most anticipated spectacles in Indian cinema, and the buzz has only grown stronger for the magnum opus, produced by visionary producer Namit Malhotra. Rocking Star Yash is all set to bring Ravana to life in a larger-than-life action arc and in a recent interview, he has opened up on his character, costume and what fans must expect from the film. The actor, who was attending CinemaCon this past week, has been letting fans in on all the details about his character - Ravana.
Yash On Playing Ravana In Ramayana
Sharing insights about his costume, Yash admitted that while wearing it made him feel 'powerful', it was also physically taxing. He said, "I have never done anything like this before. Wearing these types of costumes and a crown, it was heavy, I must admit." He shared how they were very particular about the way it looked and chasing the authentic look led to it finally being very heavy. "I had to take it off in between (the shoot). But it was amazing."
Further, the actor added, "Once you get into costume, you start feeling the character. I always have that thing. When I'm in costume and get in front of the camera, that's when I really hit the note."
Speaking about the film’s interpretation of Ravana’s ten heads as depicted in artworks, Yash hinted at a fresh and unconventional approach. He shared that it's a very interesting interpretation that they have in the movie which he doesn't wanna reveal now. "When you watch it, that is going to be one of the most exciting parts of the film - how we are showing that he had ten heads is something very interesting."
