What is the story about?
Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan's children, Taimur Ali Khan and Jeh Ali Khan, were famous the minute they were born. The elder one spent most of
his childhood being the muse of Mumbai-based paparazzi; the younger Pataudi was more guarded. Following the attack on Saif, the couple decided to keep them away from the paparazzi for security reasons. While Taimur and Jeh are growing up away from the media attention, the former wants to pursue a career in sports. Amid the promotions of Daayra, Kareena said Taimur, 9, wants to be a football player or a cricketer.
Kareena Kapoor reveals what Taimur Ali Khan wants to be after growing up
Kareena told Hanuman Dass in an interview that Taimur says he wants to be a football player or cricketer because he is into sports. 'I want to play football or cricket on a global stage,' he often tells his mother. "So I am like, then you have to make it happen. We have to encourage him in the right direction," Kareena said.
She further added, “Who knows, maybe he changes his mind down the road, which is fine. It's not like because he comes from a film family, he has to be an actor. We can just offer him the experience. I wasn't ever into cricket or football, but I enjoyed swimming a lot. But as I said, I have always wanted to play characters and become an actor. That's what I knew right from Tim's age. So that's why when he says he wants to do this, I think he's pretty sure because I think he's like me.”
Previously, Kareena had mentioned in a podcast with her sister-in-law Soha Ali Khan that Taimur and Jeh are into sports and not cinema. They often ask whether she is friends with cricketers like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.
Taimur Ali Khan's family legacy
Taimur and Jeh belong to a family of sportsmen. Saif's father, Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi, was the captain of the Indian cricket team. The late cricketer's father, Ifthikar Ali Khan Pataudi, played Test cricket for both India and England.

Kareena's upcoming film is titled Daayra. It is directed by Meghna Gulzar and also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran. The film marks the first collaboration between Junglee Pictures and Pen Studios, while reuniting Meghna Gulzar with Junglee Pictures for the third time after Talvar and Raazi. Inspired by true events, Daayra is written by Yash Keswani, Sima Agarwal and Meghna Gulzar.
Daayra releases in theatres on September 18.
