What is the story about?
Cillian Murphy and Rebecca Ferguson's Peaky Blinders is one of the most anticipated films of the year. Co-starring Barry Keoghan, the movie's new trailer
has been released on social media. A month later, the film will premiere on March 20 on Netflix. Peaky Blinders' new trailer follows the story of the Shelbys in the new era. Cillian returns as the gangster king Tommy Shelby along with his Birmingham mobsters. The biggest highlight of the trailer is Tommy's first meeting with his illegitimate son Duke Shelby, played by Barry Keoghan.

At the beginning of Peaky Blinders trailer, Tommy Shelby is told that he lives in a house haunted by ghosts. Rebecca's character further tells that he not only abandoned his kingdom, but also his son Duke. It is followed by Ada Shelby (Sophie Rundle) telling Tommy that Duke is now running the Peaky Blinders like it's 1919 all over again. The trailer also highlights Tommy's first-ever meeting with his illegitimate son Duke, who doesn't care about the world. Other than that, it gives audience a glimpse of Tommy's comeback as he walks into the Garrison Pub, seeking respect that he always got.
Meanwhile, Cillian told Netflix that his character Tommy is as broken as he has been in the upcoming film. He further revealed that the character is simply medicating and living in the purgatory that he created for himself in a big house. "He’s in this liminal space, not really living, he’s not really dead. He’s ignoring the world, he’s ignoring his family," said Cillian Murphy.
Who is a part of Peaky Blinders star cast?
Apart from Cillian, Rebecca and Barry, the star cast of Peaky Blinders includes Tim Roth, Sophie, Ned Dennehy, Packy Lee, Ian Peck, Stephen Graham, and others. And while the film will be released on Netflix on March 20, it will be theatrically released in select cinemas on March 6.
