Production house to be blacklisted
Recently, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) sought permanent blacklisting of Aditya Dhar's B62 Studios for violating rules despite multiple warnings. On the sets of Dhurandhar 2 in South Mumbai, the makers allegedly 'violated' police conditions by using crackers and flammable materials that are banned. Despite assurances that it would not be repeated, the cops received complaints around 12.45 am on February 14 about torches being lit during the shoot.
BMC raised an alarm after Dhurandhar 2’s team shot for a portion on a building terrace and used two generator vans without necessary permissions. The civic body sent a letter to the Deputy Municipal Commissioner (DMC) of Zone 1, the A ward office, demanding a penalty of Rs 1 lakh. BMC has already forfeited the production's Rs 25,000 security deposit. According to reports, gas cylinders were also used on the set for cooking, which violated regulations. The Mumbai police had to intervene when the team was caught burning torches in a high-security zone. Flagging it as a serious security lapse, the equipment was seized from the spot.
