YRF Spyverse movies, including Alpha and Pathaan 2. Netizens loved his cameo in War 2. Anil hasn’t spoken about joining the YRF Spyverse yet.

Anil, who played Hrithik Roshan’s senior in Fighter, reunites with him on the big screen. In War 2, he is introduced as the new R&AW chief after the death of Colonel Karan Luthra. Ashutosh Rana was the face of the character in Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan and Salman Khan’s Tiger 3.

In 2024, a source told Pinkvilla, “Anil Kapoor is bowled over by the vision of Aditya Chopra for the Spy Universe and took no time to sign the dotted lines for the part. He begins his affiliation with an appearance in War 2 starring Hrithik Roshan, NTR Jr, and Kiara Advani in the lead. This will be followed by the Alia Bhatt and Sharvari starrer Alpha and finally lead to the Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone film, Pathaan 2.”
About Spyverse
Besides Anil, Bobby Deol makes an appearance in War 2. He will be taking the Spyverse forward with Alia Bhatt and Sharvari in Alpha. The female-led action thriller will release in December.
War 2 marks Jr NTR’s Bollywood debut. It is Ayan Mukerji’s first directorial spy thriller. Kiara Advani plays Ashutosh Rana’s daughter, Kavya Luthra. The film released alongside Rajinikanth’s Coolie. War 2 can be watched in theatres in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil languages in 2D, IMAX, 4DX, ICE and Dolby Cinema formats.
