The duo was reportedly captured between shots and during a reading session with director Nitesh Tiwari.
While Yash plays Ravana in Namit Malhotra's Ramayana, Vivek will be seen in the role of Vidyutjihva - Danava prince from the Kalakeya clan and the husband of Ravana’s sister, Shurpanakha.

Ranbir Kapoor REACTS To Ramayana Trailer Criticism
In a recent interview, Ranbir Kapoor spoke about the reactions to the Ramayana trailer. He said that discussions around Artificial Intelligence (AI) have increased in recent years. According to him, this has also led many people online to consider themselves "CGI critics." He explained that some people do not understand how computer-generated imagery (CGI) is created and may assume that AI was simply used to make the visuals. He said that the film involves years of work by several artists. He also pointed out that he had seen the makers spend countless hours on VFX calls since the project began, even working on small details such as the colour of the sky. He added that creating CGI that feels authentic and impresses audiences has become challenging.
Meanwhile, producer Namit Malhotra also defended Ramayana against the criticism, saying its visuals were being judged unfairly on phones rather than in the big-screen format they were created for. He called the online backlash "noise" and urged viewers to experience the film properly before forming opinions. Director Nitesh Tiwari also said that people who focus only on finding faults often overlook the hard work behind a project while highlighting even its smallest mistakes.
Ramayana is set to release in theatres on Diwali 2026.
