And most importantly - is Kabir finally getting his happily ever after? Spoiler alert ahead!
Kabir’s dangerous double game
Kabir (Hrithik Roshan) is a former RAW agent who has now turned mercenary. Known for his strong sword skills and unerring aim, he’s earned the reputation of “the man who doesn’t miss,” with 20 kills in just 15 months. Though he appears to be working as a freelancer, he is hired by a global terror organisation called Kali. What no one suspects is that Kabir has a secret agenda - to infiltrate and destroy Kali from the inside.A trap and a tragedy
Meanwhile, Wing Commander Kavya Luthra (Kiara Advani) is honoured for successfully leading an evacuation mission. During the ceremony, her father, Colonel Karan Luthra (Ashutosh Rana), receives a phone call, which turns out to be a trap set by Kali. They order Kabir to kill Karan, and shockingly, he follows through. Soon after, Anil Kapoor steps in as the new War Chief. Determined to eliminate Kali, he recruits Vikram (Jr NTR), a fearless and unpredictable officer. RAW intensifies its investigation while also trying to secure Kabir’s daughter, Ruhi.An unexpected partnership
To keep Ruhi safe, Kabir hides her in Manali with Soni Razdan’s character (Tiger Shroff’s mother in the first War film). Later, Kabir meets Vikram and reveals the truth about his mission, and they decide to work together. Vikram calls him “partner,” and the duo begins planning to foil Kali’s next move. The shocking betrayal
In a twist, Vikram takes a U-turn and carries out the killing of Minister Sarang’s (Varun Badola) family. Kabir is stunned when he discovers that Vikram has been passing RAW’s information to Kali all along and is secretly working for them. During an operation, Vikram pushes Kabir out of a plane but gives him a cryptic sign. Kabir recognises this as a gesture from his childhood best friend, Raghu - the boy who had taught him everything and stood by him until one life-changing incident.A painful past
The flashback reveals that, as children, Kabir (then known as Kabbu) and Raghu were caught in a theft case, leading to Kabir’s imprisonment. Raghu accompanied him in solidarity. In prison, they met Karan Luthra, who handpicked a few children for a special programme to train them as soldiers. Kabir was selected, but Raghu was not. Kabir was given six months to replace his “Raghu First” mentality with an “India First” mindset. Kabir offered to help Raghu, but Raghu’s ego wouldn’t allow it.The two drifted apart. Years later, Kabir joined RAW under Karan Luthra’s guidance. Meanwhile, Karan’s daughter Kavya fell in love with him and proposed marriage, but Kabir turned her down to focus on his mission, breaking her heart.
The final showdown
Kabir’s mission to destroy Kali continues. After realising Vikram is Raghu, Kabir explains everything to Kavya, who chooses to believe him this time. Together, they attempt to expose Kali, only to find out that Minister Sarang is also involved, aiming to become the next Prime Minister. What follows is a tense sequence of events - on one side, Kabir and Raghu face off in brutal combat; on the other, Kavya and her team work tirelessly to save the PM from assassination. They succeed in protecting the PM, while Kabir delivers relentless blows to Raghu. The two exchange emotional and heated dialogues, addressing their broken bond.
In the end, the War Chief declares Kabir responsible for the attacks on the PM, while Vikram is publicly declared a martyr. Viewers believe Raghu has died from his injuries, but in a twist, he is shown to be alive. Together, Kabir and Raghu wipe out all the key operatives (Kali) of the organisation. Kabir chooses not to reveal Raghu’s survival to RAW.
A new beginning… and more questions
The film ends with Kabir ready to correct his past mistake of rejecting Kavya and starting a new life with her. However, the questions don’t end here: will Raghu remain hidden forever? Will he return to a villainous path? Can Kabir’s happily-ever-after truly last?Only War 3 can answer these questions (if it comes), and for now, the stage is set for Alia Bhatt's Alpha!
