About Ramayana
Director Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana is envisioned as a grand two-part cinematic adaptation of the revered Indian epic, bringing one of the world's oldest and most cherished stories to the big screen on an unprecedented scale. Designed to blend emotional depth with spectacular visuals, the film aims to introduce the timeless tale of Lord Rama to a global audience while staying rooted in its cultural and spiritual essence.
The narrative follows the eternal battle between Dharma (righteousness) and Adharma (evil), chronicling Prince Rama's extraordinary journey from his formative years to his emergence as a symbol of virtue and courage. The first installment is expected to explore Rama's upbringing, his education and training, his marriage to Sita after the iconic Swayamvar, and the political developments in Ayodhya that eventually lead to his 14-year exile.
The second chapter is set to delve deeper into the challenges of life in the forest, Sita's abduction by the powerful demon king Ravana, and Rama's quest to rescue her. It will also showcase his alliance with the Vanara army, the construction of the legendary bridge to Lanka, and the climactic war that determines the triumph of righteousness over evil. Through its expansive storytelling and scale, Ramayana seeks to reimagine the epic for a new generation of viewers.
