What is the story about?
BTS has kicked off a multi-city promotion ahead of its big comeback on March 20 this year. While fans await the final schedule of their upcoming world
tour and the places they are set to perform are possibly already being hinted at, through the unveiling of its logos and installations across countries. The promotional campaign for BTS's return will be centered around Seoul and will travel to major cities around the world. These include New York, Tokyo, and London, where the promotions have already started in various forms. From standees to billboards and lighting up entire buildings in the name of its seven members: Jin, J-Hope, Suga, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook, BTS return is expected to be a moment in the global music scene.
BTS kicks off promotions in major cities
The various photos and videos that have been flooding social media for several days only prove that BTS' comeback as a full group is generating immense anticipation and interest not only for themselves and their agency HYBE and BigHit Music, but also for countless people both domestically and internationally.
Fans guess BTS' possible tour pit-stops
As of January 13, BTS comeback promotions have started at the sites of Leicester Square (London), Shibuya Scramble Crossing and Ebisu Station (Tokyo) and Myeongdong (Seoul). HYBE started a large-scale promotional event linking Seoul and New York, US, last week. While a huge installation sporting the BTS logo was put up on the steps of the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts in Seoul, the Empire State Building in New York also lit up in purple lights.
ARMYs react to the promotional campaign
ARMYs are thrilled at how BTS is gearing up. Many took to social media and posted reactions too. A fan wrote on X (formerly Twitter), "the roll out of this promotion is already massive. and it’s just building up. bts is coming back,mark those calendars,the whole world will be watching!" Another fan guessed, "Seoul, Tokyo, London and NewYork are probable world tour cities." An Indian ARMY asked, "Mumbai, kolkata, delhi , bengaluru when?"
With HYBE setting up its Mumbai office last year, desi fans are eagerly waiting and expecting to see an Indian city part of their touring schedule too. BTS will release its full schedule on January 14.
