According to a report by Mid-day, the film’s final shooting schedule is set to kick off in Mumbai after the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations. “The bulk of the film is already shot. Post Ganpati celebrations this month, the team will dive into a 45-day marathon schedule that should take the movie to the finish line,” an industry insider revealed.
Originally slated for a Diwali 2025 release, the film’s timeline has seen a change. Anurag Basu had confirmed earlier in July that the movie’s release would be postponed, and now it is reportedly set to hit theatres in April 2026. This new window aligns with the summer holiday season, offering a better box office opportunity for the romantic entertainer. A member of the production team added, "It will be a straight shoot with no breaks until Diwali, after which we will head into post-production. As of now, the April 2026 target looks achievable."

Reports of Aashiqui 3 getting delayed due to changes in script have been making rounds and the director finally addressed the issue, debunking the rumours. According to Mid-Day, the filmmaker said, "Mohit and I are very close. I’m happy for his film’s success. The only similarity in our films is that the male lead is a rockstar, and the story is about his journey." Further, he added, "In my film, the girl doesn’t have dementia or any [other condition]. We are not rewriting or re-shooting."
With the final schedule all set to start, fans are looking forward to watch the love story unfold on the silver screen.
