Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi has claimed responsibility for the firing outside Bollywood filmmaker Rohit Shetty's Mumbai home, Shetty Tower. In a post, his
men said the multiple gunshots were fired as a warning to the Singham director. What also raised concern was their warning to "the entire Bollywood." This is not the first time the gang has targeted celebrities from the Hindi film industry. They have a long-standing feud with superstar Salman Khan, while AP Dhillon, Badshah, Kapil Sharma, and Munawar Faruqui are among other celebrities reportedly on their hit list. Here’s all you need to know. Lawrence Bishnoi Gang On Rohit Shetty House Firing Incident Bishnoi gang's Shubham Lonkar, Arju Bishnoi, and Hari “Boxer” Hasan Sambhu claimed responsibility for the firing that took place at Rohit Shetty’s house in Mumbai. They stated that they had warned him several times not to interfere in their work, but he did not heed their warnings. They added that the recent firing was a “small trailer” to convey their message, and if he still failed to understand, the next shot would not be fired inside the bedroom. In a statement, they said, “Ram Ram, Jai Bajrang Bali sabhi bhaiyon ko. Aaj Mumbai mein (Shetty Tower) film director Rohit Shetty ke ghar par jo firing hui hai, uski zimmedari Shubham Lonkar, Arju Bishnoi aur Hari Boxer Hasan Sambhu lete hain. Humne inhe kai baar message kiya tha ki hamare kaam mein dakhal na dein, lekin inhe baat samajh nahi aayi. Isliye yeh ek chhota sa trailer diya gaya hai. Agar aage bhi inhone hamari baat nahi samjhi, toh agla shot ghar ke bahar nahi, balki bedroom mein chalega." Lawrence Bishnoi's Warning To 'Entire Bollywood' - EXPLAINED Bishnoi gang members described the latest firing incident as a warning to him and, going forward, to the entire Bollywood industry. "Yeh unke seene par aur aage poore Bollywood ke liye ek warning hai," concluded the note. For those unversed, Lawrence Bishnoi appears to have a special animosity toward Bollywood stars. Time and again, he has issued warnings to celebrities. While some have been targeted due to their close connection with Salman, others have faced his wrath for ignoring his calls or resisting extortion attempts. Last year in October, the gangster issued a warning to Bollywood, saying, "Anyone in Bollywood who speaks against religion should also be prepared — a bullet can come from anywhere, anytime." This came after the third firing outside Kapil Sharma's cafe in Surrey, weeks after the comedian-actor was criticised for cracking a joke that reportedly hurt religious sentiments. Coming back to Bollywood’s Bhaijaan, he has long been on his hit list for the 1998 Blackbuck poaching case. Bishnoi has sent him multiple warnings and even fired shots outside Mannat in 2023. As a result, the superstar has been given Y+ security. Rohit Shetty Firing Case - All We Know On late Sunday night (January 31), four shots were fired outside Shetty Tower in Juhu. Earlier today, a forensic team also visited the spot to collect evidence. Meanwhile, five men have been detained in Pune for questioning in connection with the case.
