Sobhita Dhulipala On Marrying Naga Chaitanya
Sobhita Dhulipala has opened up on her wedding to Naga Chaitanya and admitted that marrying an actor was not something she had imagined for herself. The couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Hyderabad in 2024, including traditional Telugu customs. In an interview with Vogue, she said, “I didn’t think I’d end up with someone who’s an actor or from my state but I always wanted a wedding that had my culture’s nuances. It was part of the fantasy from when I was a child.”
Speaking about navigating a new marriage while both partners have demanding careers and remain in the public eye, Sobhita Dhulipala said, “Within a few weeks of being married, I left to shoot in Tamil Nadu. I was there for over 150 days and in the first year of our marriage, I probably saw him maybe once a month, so we were still understanding this mix together. Now, in the past few months, we’re adapting to life. The one thing I know is we both prioritise what’s needed to keep the connection healthy.”
Sobhita Dhulipala On Work And Slowing Down
Sobhita Dhulipala’s filmography currently spans around 18 films, with the actor known for taking on layered and morally complex female characters. Her roles include Tara Khanna in Made in Heaven and Sita in Dev Patel’s Monkey Man. Talking about the pace of her career, she said, “I was in a churn and I loved that, but today, I’m not letting the current lead me. I’m more anchored. I didn’t think I would enjoy this slowness but I have.”
Sobhita Dhulipala who will soon be seen in Vettuvam call it “the best work ever done”. Directed byPa Ranjith, the Tamil sci-fi drama's release date has not been announced yet. Meanwhile, Naga Chaitanya is preparing for his next project, Vrushakarma. Directed by Karthik Dandu, the film also stars Meenakshi Chaudhary and Sparsh Shrivastava, with Jayaram and Zarina Wahab in key roles.
