What is the story about?
The 32nd Screen Actors Guild Awards, aka SAG Awards 2026, is gearing up for its big show on March 1, at 8 pm ET / 5 pm PT. Following this year, the awards
have been officially renamed the Actor Awards presented by SAG-AFTRA due to a rebranding. The latest edition will have Leonardo DiCaprio's One Battle After Another, Michael B. Jordan's Sinners, and The Studio ruling the roost with the most nominations across top categories. When the list was announced last month, fans were a tad disappointed to see Cynthia Erivo (Wicked: For Good) and Wagner Moura (The Secret Agent) getting snubbed. When, where to watch SAG Awards 2026 in India?
Due to the time zone difference, India will get to watch the latest edition of SAG Awards 2026 a few hours late, on March 2, 2026, around 6:30 am IST. It will stream live on Netflix, as part of its ongoing partnership with the guild. While there will be no TV broadcast in India, it'll be available globally for simultaneous streaming. The OTT giant has been the exclusive broadcast partner for the ceremony for multiple years now.

Apart from Netflix, updates on the SAG Awards can be followed on various social media handles. While its official X (formerly Twitter) handle under the name '@theactorawards' will post regular photos, videos and winners on its profile, Netflix's accounts will also do the same. Fans can keep track of the respective hashtags for the awards show.

SAG Awards competing names
BAFTA 2026, which was held on February 22, seems to be having a ripple effect on the SAG Awards 2026 too. With top films from BAFTA, also contending at SAG, viewers almost have an idea about what to expect.
The awards will honour winners in 15 categories, including six in motion picture and nine in TV. The Best Actor will see a competition between Timothée Chalamet (Marty Supreme), Leonardo DiCaprio (One Battle After Another), Ethan Hawke (Blue Moon), Michael B. Jordan (Sinners) and Jesse Plemons (Bugonia).
The Best Actress nominees are Hamnet's Jessie Buckley, If I Had Legs I’d Kick You's Rose Byrne, Song Sung Blue's Kate Hudson, One Battle After Another's Chase Infiniti and Bugonia's Emma Stone.
On the TV front, Severance, The White Lotus, The Pitt, Comedy Ensemble, Abbott Elementary, Hacks, The Studio, and The Bear rule the drama and comedy categories.

Netflix's two global hits Stranger Things and Squid Game are fighting with Disney+'s Andor, Paramount+'s Landman and HBO's The Last of Us in the Outstanding Stunt Ensemble in a Television Series category.
About SAG Awards
The Actor Awards are decided by committees of 2,000 members for film and television, drawn from SAG-AFTRA's total membership of approximately 22,000. Nomination voting took place in early January 2026 before final voting ahead of the ceremony. The SAG Awards are considered a strong Oscars predictor due to the actor voting body.
