Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans Share Diwali Wishes
In the special video message, Downey Jr, who plays Doctor Doom, and Evans, known for portraying Steve Rogers, greeted their Indian fans with a traditional “Namaste India!” before reflecting on the significance of Diwali.
“What we love about Diwali is it marks the closing of one chapter and beginning of another…that’s something we know a lot about, except instead of moving from dark to light, I think it might be going in the other direction,” the actors said.
They concluded their message by wishing fans a happy Diwali and teasing their upcoming cinematic outing. “Happy Diwali and we will see you in Avengers: Doomsday… You bet!” they added.
The festive greeting comes as anticipation builds for the next chapter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The combination of a star-studded cast, a major superhero showdown and an India-first theatrical release has further heightened interest among fans.
