film broke several records at the box office after its release this year. Now, the spy-thriller is all set for its TV premiere on October 18, 2026. Before its TV premiere, the makers had to submit the film once again to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to make the necessary modifications for the small-screen audience. And now, as per a new update, the makers have made 45-50 cuts in Dhurandhar 2 after CBFC orders. The duration of the Ranveer Singh starrer has also been changed after the edits.
Dhurandhar The Revenge TV Version Details Out
For the unversed, Dhurandhar The Revenge was originally certified ‘A’ for its theatrical release. Hence, to make it suitable for the TV audience, the makers will have to make necessary changes. According to a Bollywood Hungama report, the CBFC passed Dhurandhar 2 with a U/A 16+ certificate on September 24.
A source informed the portal, “The makers were asked to make 45 to 50 cuts. Almost all the modifications pertained to the extremely violent and gory scenes.” The source also stated that the makers have smoothly edited out the disturbing sequences in such a way that the impact of the film stayed intact.
As per the details available on the CBFC website, the approved television version of Dhurandhar has been passed with a U/A certificate. The 16+ version has a duration of 219 minutes and 6 seconds. The revised version is 3 hours 39 minutes and 6 seconds.
Notably, Dhurandhar The Revenge’s TV version is 10 minutes shorter than the theatrical version, which was 229.6 minutes long. After the CBFC approval, Dhurandhar The Revenge is set for its world television premiere on October 18, 2026, at 7 pm on Star Gold.

Dhurandhar The Revenge has collected Rs 18.13 crore worldwide. In India, the Ranveer Singh film earned Rs 1149.30 crore net. After Dhurandhar 2, Ranveer started shooting for his next, Pralay, which is being helmed by Jai Mehta. The film also stars Kalyani Priyadarshan as the female lead.
