What is the story about?
The third episode of Koffee With Karan Season 9 featured Bawaal co-stars Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor. Later, in the episode, Janhvi's brother and Varun's
friend Arjun Kapoor also popped in as a surprise guest. But before Arjun's entry, Janhvi finally confirmed to host Karan Johar that she's in a relationship with industrialist Shikhar Pahariya. The couple has been rumoured to be dating for several years now. The actress shared that she didn't want to hide it anymore. Later, as she opened up more about their relationship, Janhvi also dropped a hint about when she would like to get married.
Janhvi Kapoor makes her relationship with Shikhar Pahariya official
When asked if she was dating Shikhar, Janhvi Kapoor did not deny her relationship on the show and confirmed that they were together. She told Karan, "I've always thought about why everyone's cagey about this. Obviously I don't want nazar (bad luck) and I don't want to be overly explicit about what's happening in my personal life, but I also don't think people give that much of a f*ck for us to never... I just think it's overrated to be like, let no one ever know ever. It's boring to tiptoe around it."
When Karan asked her if she knew Shikhar was her endgame, Janhvi replied that she did. "The consistency that he's been in my life and through everything, really, even when we weren't romantically seeing each other, the minute he heard [about Sridevi's death], he was studying in London; he took like half a semester off and came to Bombay," the actress revealed.
Janhvi recalled that he stayed at a friend's house close to her because he wanted to be around in case she needed him. Finally, Karan managed to ask Janhvi about her marriage plans, to which the actress stated, "Not for another two-three years for sure," while stating that the couple was in a good stage of their relationship despite all the breakups around them.
Janhvi Kapoor's upcoming projects
Last seen in the Telugu film Peddi with Ram Charan earlier this year, Janhvi has a number of releases lined up for 2027. She is part of Raj Mehta's Lag Jaa Gale with Tiger Shroff, Vidyut Jammwal and Tabu; Dhruv Vikram's Tamil film Jackie; and Atlee's Raaka, alongside Allu Arjun, Deepika Padukone and Rashmika Mandanna. Janhvi is also filming Umesh Bist's untitled romantic thriller with co-stars Sreeleela and Siddharth Gupta.
