According to industry reports, Deepika’s exit from Kalki 2 was due to disagreements over her demands. Sources reveal that she requested a 25% hike in her remuneration and sought a working schedule limited to seven hours a day. Moreover, she reportedly travels with a sizable entourage of 25 people, asking for five-star accommodation and reimbursement for food expenses, conditions that the producers found difficult to accommodate. Despite negotiations, she remained firm on her requirements, leading to tensions. A Telugu news portal added that Deepika allegedly demanded her fee be doubled compared to what she earned for the first Kalki film, a proposal that reportedly stunned the film’s producers. Her insistence on luxury arrangements and a reduced shooting schedule further complicated matters.
