Mahesh Bhatt is in awe of his son-in-law Ranbir Kapoor. The veteran filmmaker once again flaunted his admiration in a recent interview and lauded him for
being ‘family-conscious’. Mahesh’s youngest daughter, Alia Bhatt, is married to Ranbir, the son of the late Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor. In the interview, Bhatt praised Kapoor for being a great listener.
'Ranbir Kapoor is a great actor because...'
Talking to Siddharth Kannan on his podcast, Mahesh said, “Ranbir is a very sorted kid, and I have never seen someone so family-conscious in the industry. He loves his home and his daughter. He is also very well read, and no one really knows that. He reads a lot and consumes a lot of cinema as well. Whenever we talk, it isn’t necessarily about films. We talk about very basic things, and he is a man of few words, but he listens. That is the sign of a great actor, the listening capacity.”

Ranbir and Alia relationship
Alia, an actor, married Ranbir on April 14, 2022, at their Bandra apartment. It was an intimate affair with family members and close friends in attendance. Alia and Ranbir welcomed their daughter, Raha Kapoor, in November 2022.
Workwise, Ranbir and Alia will be seen sharing the screen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War. The film also stars Vicky Kaushal. The period love story will be their second movie after Brahmastra in 2022.
Besides Love & War, Ranbir has Ramayana: The Introduction releasing on Diwali 2026. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the mythological film will see the actor playing Lord Ram alongside Yash, Sai Pallavi, Sunny Deol, Ravie Dubey and many others. Ramayana’s second part comes in Diwali 2027.
Alia will end the year with Alpha, co-starring Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor and Sharvari. The Yash Raj Films’ spy-thriller is scheduled to release on Christmas 2025.
