About Peddi
Peddi is a sports drama set in rural Andhra Pradesh during the 1980s. The story follows Peddi, played by Ram Charan, a talented cricketer who earns a living by playing for local teams. His life takes a new direction when he decides to continue a mission that was left unfinished by a respected villager who dedicated decades to securing basic recognition and development for their community.
At the heart of the story is Kondakinda Ooru, a remote settlement that remains absent from official government records. As a result, its residents struggle without essential services and infrastructure. Determined to change their future, Peddi embarks on a challenging journey to secure long-overdue recognition for the village. Guided by his mentor Gournaidu, he must overcome personal and external obstacles while proving himself both on and off the cricket field. The film blends themes of perseverance, social pride, and social change with an emotional, athletic narrative of survival in the face of adversity.
