Netflix opens Eyeline Studios in India
Indian filmmaker Rana Daggubatti recently attended the launch event of Netflix's Eyeline Studios VFX, launching the second studio in India in Hyderabad city. The event was also attended by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Telangana Shri Anumula Revanth Reddy and Ministry of Information & Broadcasting Secretary Shri Sanjay Jaju as they addressed the gathering in Hyderabad on March 12.
Rana Daggubati, who collaborated with the OTT platform for his web series Rana Naidu, spoke about the launch of a world-famous VFX studio, which will now take up the production to upcoming releases on the OTT channel to next level. He stated that, “About 20 years ago, there were very few opportunities like this in Hyderabad, and Ted Sarandos was just starting to connect with the industry at that time. Today, seeing people like Jeff Shapiro come to Hyderabad and speak about this place as the next future hub of creativity shows how far Hyderabad has progressed. For this, I must first thank the audiences who kept pushing filmmakers to go beyond boundaries and constantly ask for bigger and newer cinema. The filmmakers and producers out of Hyderabad kept pushing the bar higher.”
The fan-favourite series produced from the studio itself includes Happy Gilmore 2, Wednesday, Stranger Things and Daredevil: Born Again. It is mastered to bring in Light Dome volumetric lighting system, LED volume stages, 4D capture systems and AI/ML-driven production tools in a more effective and smarter way.
