Dhurandhar's success has knocked the corridors of Yash Raj Films too. Aditya Chopra's production banner on January 7, posted a lengthy note on its official
social media handles, congratulating and praising director Aditya Dhar and the entire team for the magnanimous success. It comes after Dhurandhar surpassed YRF's several movies including Jawan. Infact, Tiger 3 and Pathaan belonging to YRF Spy Universe were also defeated by Dhurandhar during its box office journey so far. Starring Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Rajesh Bedi, Sara Arjun and others, Dhurandhar has, as of Day 33 (Tuesday) collected Rs 806.80 crore at the domestic box office (net), becoming the first Bollywood film to enter the Rs 800-crore club.

YRF protégé and Dhurandhar's lead actor Ranveer Singh, who started his career with Band Baaja Baaraat (2010), reacted to Yash Raj's post. He wrote, "My beloved Alma Mater only ever wanted to make you proud!
Dhurandhar's box office mayhem
Dhurandhar released on December 5, 2025, and has emerged as the biggest movie of the year. While it defeated mega hits like Chhaava and Stree 2, it even took down the Hindi version of films KGF 2, Baahubali 2 and many more. It currently eyes Pushpa 2's Hindi version to become the highest grossing Hindi film of all time.
