What is the story about?
HYBE is bringing its flagship Weverse Con Festival to India for the first time, a major development for the country's rapidly growing K-pop and live entertainment
scene. The much-awaited fest will take place in New Delhi on March 27 and 28, 2027, featuring performances by K-pop and Indian artists, special collaboration stages, and immersive fan experiences. The two-day event will bring the Weverse fandom experience off the digital platform and into the real world. HYBE, the label behind the K-pop power group, is positioning the event as a major step in its push to strengthen its footprint in India.
Weverse Con Festival India to take place in 2027
On October 7, HYBE announced the debut of Weverse Con Festival India in New Delhi on March 27-28, 2027. It will be the first Indian edition of the global music festival and will bring the Weverse Con experience to one of the fastest-growing K-pop markets in the world. The festival will feature top Indian and international artists, and the lineup is expected to be announced later. Besides the performances, fans can also expect special collaboration stages to unite Indian and Korean music cultures.
What can fans expect from Weverse Con Festival India?
The festival is supposed to be more than an ordinary concert. Taking inspiration from the fan communities that have been created through Weverse, the event will include live music, interactive fan engagement, brand activations and cultural experiences. Special collaboration stages are also expected to be a highlight, possibly forming new combinations between K-pop and Indian performers.
The festival will provide opportunities for fans to mingle with artists and other fans and to immerse themselves in music and fandom in a physical space, HYBE said.
HYBE reveals why Weverse Con Festival is coming to India
HYBE CEO Jason Jaesang Lee called the India edition a new chapter in the company's "multi-home, multi-genre" strategy. The company wants to work with India's creative ecosystem to create experiences that appeal to local audiences by combining its global capabilities with India, he said.
Weverse Company President Zooil Yang also referred to India's huge K-pop fan community. "The festival will give Weverse a chance to take its fan experiences from the digital world to the live environment," he said.
Where to book tickets for the festival
BookMyShow Live will co-produce and promote Weverse Con Festival India. The company, which has been key to the proliferation of K-pop concerts and live events in India, will be hosting the festival for Indian audiences in association with HYBE and Weverse. Tickets will be available through BookMyShow only.
Which K-pop artists are performing?
The official list of artists hasn't been revealed yet. HYBE confirmed the festival will feature some of the biggest names in K-pop alongside artists from India.
This has left fans wondering which HYBE acts and other Weverse-affiliated artists will take the stage in New Delhi. Weverse currently hosts communities for major K-pop names including BTS, SEVENTEEN, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, ENHYPEN, LE SSERAFIM, BOYNEXTDOOR, TWS and ILLIT among others. However, their presence on the platform does not mean they have been confirmed for the India festival.
Does Weverse Con Festival India mean BTS is coming to India soon?
The announcement of the Weverse Con Festival India does not guarantee a BTS concert, but it could lay some important groundwork. HYBE is expanding its presence in the live entertainment business in India through the festival, HYBE INDIA and local partnerships. A successful 2027 event could give HYBE valuable experience with Indian venues, ticketing and fan engagement, possibly leading to future BTS or other HYBE concerts. But for now, BTS has not confirmed it will perform at Weverse Con Festival India or announce a separate India concert. HYBE manages BTS under BigHit.
HYBE's growing footprint in India
The festival is part of a bigger plan by HYBE to increase its footprint in India. Based in Mumbai, HYBE India has been working to discover talent, develop artists and produce content, while connecting India's creative ecosystem with HYBE's global network.
The company has also been holding nationwide auditions as it looks to find local talent and develop content that can resonate in India and have global potential.
