Sonu Sood On Dharali Tragedy
Earlier today, Sonu Sood urged people to support relief efforts and stand in solidarity with those impacted.
The actor-philanthropist wrote on X (formerly Twitter), "Dharali is drowning in silence—and we can't be silent anymore. 4 lives lost, nearly 100 missing, 12 hotels, homes, and shops swept away in seconds. What they built over decades vanished overnight. These aren’t just numbers—they're families, dreams, futures."
He added, "We urge the government to introduce tax benefits and policy incentives for those who come forward to help rebuild after such disasters—so even those who never would’ve… start doing their bit. Let’s not wait for another headline. It’s time for governments, corporates, and citizens to stand together. To relocate, to rebuild, to restore dignity. Because tragedy chose them—but humanity must choose them now. #RebuildDharali #RiseTogether #ActWithCompassion #PolicyForRelief."
Many others in the film industry have spoken out about the tragedy.
