Amid tight security, Ranveer visited Lalbaugcha Raja and spent a couple of moments praying to Bappa. Deepika is in Bengaluru for her second delivery. Their firstborn, Dua Padukone Singh, is with her mother and maternal grandparents.

Ranveer, dressed in white, visited Lalbaugcha Raja on Thursday evening. He bowed down to Ganpati and sought blessings for the new chapter in his life. Before leaving, he ensured not to disappoint his fans, waiting in the long queue. He shook hands with each one reaching out to him. Ranveer also clicked pictures with some of his fans.

Ranveer Singh begins shooting for Pralay
Before Deepika's due date, Ranveer started working on Pralay in Mumbai. His last film was Dhurandhar, which was a blockbuster. Earlier, Pralay was to go on floors in Australia. However, according to the latest development, the location was changed to Mumbai. Ranveer, who will be welcoming his second baby with Deepika, wanted to stay close to her during the important phase. Secondly, the makers reportedly faced difficulties in securing permissions for some Australian locations. Pralay is directed by Jai Mehta and also stars Kalyani Priyadarshan.
Ranveer is producing Pralay under his home banner, Maa Kasam Films. It is the company's first film. Pralay is said to be a high-concept, post-apocalyptic zombie horror thriller, scheduled to release in late-2027 or early 2028.

Deepika wrapped the shoot of Raaka with Allu Arjun before taking a break. Amid her maternity leave, there were reports that Deepika would be returning to work with Brahmastra Part Two: Dev as Ranbir Kapoor's mother, Amrita. She had a cameo in the first part. However, a source clarified that Deepika isn't associated with Brahmastra 2. As of now, Padukone has two major films - Raaka, directed by Atlee, and King, with Shah Rukh Khan. The latter is releasing in December 2026.
