Vijay's mother, Madhavi, gave a very simple and heartfelt answer. She said that she only wants a girl who will take good care of her son. She added that her daughter-in-law should love him unconditionally and understand his life in the film industry.
Vijay's father, Govardhan, was equally clear. He said he has no big expectations. He wants Vijay to marry the girl he loves. He also said caste and religion do not matter to him. He would just be happy if Vijay marries an Indian girl, especially someone from South India.

Vijay and Rashmika got engaged on October 3 last year in a private ceremony at Vijay's Hyderabad home. Now, their wedding celebrations are taking place from February 24 to 26 at ITC Mementos in Udaipur.
The property is located in the Aravalli Range and is known for its complete privacy. It has 117 private villas, a river and a lake inside the estate, and even a private helipad. The entire venue is built across a hill, making it perfect for a quiet and secure celebration.
Only around 100 guests are expected to attend. No major film stars are likely to be present, but a few directors and politicians from Telangana are on the guest list.
