Amid this, filmmaker and actor Ajay Devgn's comic caper Dhamaal 4 has reportedly postponed the release date of the movie from Eid 2026.

According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, Ajay Devgn was among the first to announce his upcoming comic caper Dhaamal 4 for an Eid 2026 release. However, in the weeks since, the holiday period has become more competitive, with Ranveer Singh and Jio Studios revealing their sequel Dhurandhar 2, for the same slot. In addition, Yash’s highly anticipated Toxic is also set to release during the Eid weekend. Given the growing box-office competition, Ajay Devgn has decided to make a considerate move.

Dhamaal 4 to release in May 2026?
Reliable sources have confirmed that Ajay and his team have decided to shift Dhaamal 4 from the Eid 2026 window. A source told Bollywood Hungama, “After multiple discussions and seeing the massive success of Dhurandhar, Ajay doesn't want to risk clashing with the sequel of this Aditya Dhar film. They are now eyeing a May 2026 release for Dhaamal 4.”The source added that the decision is pragmatic. Ajay, known for his industry-first approach, is not motivated by ego or the desire to keep the original release date simply because it was first announced. “Ajay has always prioritised the industry's well-being. He understands the potential impact Dhurandhar 2 could have, especially after the success of the first film. He doesn’t want to pit a comic caper against a film that resonates with the masses and tackles political conflicts. He believes Dhurandhar is an important franchise that deserves a clear run.”
With the shift, Dhaamal 4 is now likely to release in the Summer of 2026, with May being the preferred timeframe to attract younger audiences to cinemas.
