Rajkummar Rao recently reflected on his journey in Bollywood, saying that coming in as an outsider worked to his advantage. While many from non-filmy families
often speak about its downsides, the Stree 2 star feels it made his journey extra special. He explained that there were no set expectations from him, which gave him the freedom to choose his own path. I am very proud of my journey and would not trade it for anything else. And it definitely helped me stay grounded,” Rajkummar told Hindustan Times. Over the years, Rao has built a career marked by versatility and critical acclaim. The Maalik actor believes this lack of pressure allowed him to experiment with diverse roles. He said that he has always wanted to explore a wide range of stories and characters, from serious roles to lighthearted ones, as it helps him discover new sides of himself and keeps the work exciting and genuine. Work Front Rajkummar was last seen in Maalik, which hit the screens last month. It also starred Medha Shankar, Manushi Chillar, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Huma Qureshi and Saurabh Shukla in key roles. Helmed by Pulkit, the film opened to positive reviews but failed to create an impact on the box office. Before this, he was seen in Bhool Chuk Maaf with Wamiqa Gabbi. The actor is yet to announce his next film. As per reports, he has an untitled project with noted filmmaker Shoojit Sircar in the pipeline. Rao is also set to collaborate with Aditya Nimbalkar but an official confirmation is awaited. On personal front, the actor will soon embrace fatherhood.
