Part of The Files Trilogy
The Bengal Files marks the conclusion of Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri’s ‘The Files’ trilogy, following The Tashkent Files (2019) and The Kashmir Files (2022). Although it received a polarised response similar to its predecessors, the film couldn’t replicate the massive box-office success of The Kashmir Files.
Box Office Performance
The film opened with Rs 1.35 crore and showed a positive trend initially. However, its momentum slowed in the second week due to competition from Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle. Despite that, it managed to collect around Rs 15.25 crore at the Indian box office.
