Ranbir Kapoor Is Amazing As A Father: Varun Dhawan
When Karan Johar pointed out that all the SOTY stars are now parents to daughters, Varun Dhawan said, "I always knew Alia would be the first to have a child. Since we did Student of the Year, she had always mentioned that she would love to have a child. I found it bizarre because she was a kid."
Janhvi Kapoor, who was also a guest on the show, appeared surprised when she heard that Alia had expressed this at 19. Varun then recalled how she frequently spoke about children and her desire to become a mother. He also revealed that he never expected Sidharth Malhotra to be the last among them to have a child. He had imagined that the order would be Alia, Sidharth and then himself.
Varun was then asked if they had any past awkwardness, considering their shared history. He revealed that he shares a good rapport with both of his co-stars. Talking about his bond with Alia, he spoke about her husband Ranbir Kapoor. "When I see Ranbir as a parent, he is amazing. He is so good as a father that I feel like, really ashamed! I am also good but Lara and me get into a lot of fights," he said.
Varun Dhawan Reveals Why He Has Fights With His Daughter Lara
KJo was taken aback as Lara is just two years old. Curious about what could spark a fight at such a young age, he asked for an explanation.
Varun shared that their little arguments are usually about music as Lara is currently hooked on Michael Jackson. Janhvi then wondered if Varun disliked listening to the legendary singer. The actor clarified, "I want to listen to another song besides Beat It. She wants to hear Beat It like 68 times."
Karan then advised Varun to let his daughter enjoy her favourite songs. However, the actor quipped that he wants Lara to appreciate Jackson's other hits too.
