'Drishyam 3' gets bumper opening with ₹66.75 crore

Drishyam 3: The Conclusion, which sees Ajay Devgn return as the ultimate family man Vijay Salgaonkar, finally hit theatres today (October 2) amid massive

hype and anticipation. Also starring Tabu and Jaideep Ahlawat in key roles, the film marks the conclusion of the much-loved franchise adapted from Mohanlal's Malayalam thriller. And it looks like the Drishyam team is signing off on a high note! The film shattered multiple records on its opening day and delivered a bumper start at the box office on Friday. It has emerged as one of the biggest openers of 2026 and the biggest opening for an Ajay Devgn film.

Drishyam 3 The Conclusion Box Office Collection Day 1

As per Sacnilk, Drishyam 3: The Conclusion earned a whopping Rs 66.76 crore on its opening day at the box office. While the film's day one numbers are impressive, the total net collection is expected to grow further over the coming days, with a strong weekend likely to boost footfalls.

Reportedly, 26,53,030 people watched the film across 15,735 shows, which recorded 59 per cent occupancy. The film's release coinciding with the national holiday of Gandhi Jayanti appears to have worked in its favour, giving the Ajay Devgn starrer a strong start.

Now, all eyes are on its weekend collections and whether it can maintain the momentum in the coming days.

Notably, Drishyam 3 was earlier expected to open in the Rs 23-30 crore range. However, the film has far surpassed those predictions and earned double on its opening day.

With this impressive start, the thriller has surpassed all previous opening-day records in Devgn's career. The record was earlier held by his 2024 actioner Singham Again, which registered a Rs 45 crore opening.

Directed by Abhishek Pathak, the film also marks the return of Shriya Saran as Nandini, along with Ishita Dutta and Mrunal Jadhav as Vijay's daughters. Jaideep Ahlawat replaces Akshaye Khanna in the final instalment as SP Rajveer Singh Tomar. Kamlesh Sawant, Prakash Raj, Rajat Kapoor, Saurabh Shukla, Samvedna Suwalka and Neha Joshi also feature in key supporting roles.

Drishyam 3: The Conclusion has opened to positive reviews from fans and critics. This is expected to further boost its box office collections in the coming days.
