If a media report is to be believed, the director-actor has reunited for a film based on the life of kickboxer Tajamul Islam. The latest development is that Kabir commenced shooting for the untitled biopic today (August 11) at the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation office in Mumbai. Kartik will reportedly be seen playing a coach.
Kartik Aaryan To Play Coach In Tajamul Islam Biopic?
According to Mid-Day report, some key portions of Kartik's upcoming film with Kabir are left to be shot. The BMC office is apparently one of the first locations and later the makers will move to Saki Naka for an extensive schedule, the report suggested.
"After Kartik joins mid-week, he will shoot throughout the month till early September," a source close to the tabloid told the portal. The untitled film is apparently being designed as a biographical drama about Tajamul Islam's journey. She is a two-time world kickboxing champion. After wrapping this film's shoot, Kartik is likely to begin shooting for Anees Bazmee's Bhool Bhulaiyaa 4. Buzz is that movie might go on floors in October this year.

Meanwhile, Kartik Aaryan recently won the National Film Award for Chandu Champion. The actor shares this honour with Mammootty. After winning the award for the Kabir Khan directorial, he penned on Instagram, "Still processing... Some moments are simply bigger than words, and this is one of them." He added that the dream he carried for years had finally come true. "Forever humbled, forever grateful Best Actor National Award," he said.

On the work front, Kartik was last seen in Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri with Ananya Panday. Directed by Sameer Vidwans, the romantic-comedy opened to mixed reviews and failed to work wonders at the box office. The rom-com, which was theatrically released in 2025, did a box office business of Rs 32.95 crore in India. On the other hand, it made Rs 49.50 crore at the worldwide box office.
