Veteran Bollywood actor Asrani passed away in October last year. Before his demise left a void in the Hindi film industry and the hearts of many, the comedy
legend had already shot two projects with Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan. While Bhooth Bangla released earlier this year, Haiwaan is gearing up for its release. Ahead of the film's release, Akshay and the makers remembered Asrani with emotional tributes. He shared his last-ever shot and left fans emotional.
Akshay Kumar Pays Emotional Tribute To Asrani With Haiwaan Scene
Sharing a funny scene from Haiwaan, featuring late legend Asrani, Akshay Kumar wrote, "My good fortune that I got to work with this legend and see him give his last-ever shot in Haiwaan. Miss you Asrani ji…there can be no one like you."
Netizens remembered the veteran actor in the comments section. "One last screen presence of Asrani ji," commented an emotional fan. Another wrote, "We all will miss you but never forget you, sir. Asrani passed away on October 20, 2025, after being admitted to a Mumbai hospital due to breathing issues and age-related health complications. He was 84.
About Haiwaan
Starring Akshay in a dark and menacing avatar, Haiwaan is a gripping action thriller. The film, also starring Saif Ali Khan in the lead, centres on a visually impaired martial artist whose life takes a dramatic turn after he is wrongly framed for murder.
It is the Hindi adaptation of the Malayalam crime thriller Oppam, which was also helmed by Priyadarshan. The original featured Mohanlal.
Haiwaan is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on September 11, 2026. It also stars Boman Irani, Shriya Pilgaonkar and Saiyami Kher.
