Showering her with praise, Tharoor lauded Chopra for conquering the global stage, where Indians rarely receive recognition. Priyanka Chopra's Comeback Our Desi Girl, who has been busy starring in Hollywood biggies and major OTT projects, is finally returning to Indian cinema. She is set to make her comeback with SS Rajamouli’s Varanasi, which also stars Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran. The Telugu-language epic action-adventure is touted as one of the biggest Indian films ever made, with a massive reported budget of Rs 1,300 crore. The film is expected to hit the screens in 2027. Rajamouli has co-written the film with V Vijayendra Prasad and SS Kanchi. The official synopsis reads: "A Shiva devotee is sent on a mysterious mission to find an ancient cosmic artifact. As he travels through history uncovering clues, he discovers the one who assigned the quest is an evil mastermind seeking world control. forever. unveiled." In the film, PeeCee plays the role of Mandakini. Her first-look poster set the internet ablaze, and fans are eagerly awaiting more glimpses from the ambitious project.
