Ahead of the release of War 2 and Coolie, Hrithik Roshan shared his best wishes for the legendary actor, calling Rajinikanth 'an inspiration and a standard'.
The films gear up for a head-on collision at the box office. On X, Hrithik recalled sharing screen with Rajinikanth in Bhagwaan Dada (1986) as a child actor and called him ‘one of my first teachers'. Hrithik Roshan congratulates first co-star Rajinikanth on completing 50 years

Talking about his experience working with Rajinikanth, Hrithik previously said at the launch of The Roshans that he didn’t realise the importance of working with the veteran at an early age.
He said, “I used to talk to him like 'yes uncle, no, yes.' I had my way with him. Today If I get a chance to work with him, I will be very different. I will realize the burden and the weight of the moment that I am sharing the screen space with him, my god.”
Hrithik added, “He was so gentle. Whenever I messed up a shot, Rajini Sir used to take the blame, 'sorry sorry it was my fault.' Every single time I made a mistake, Rajinikanth Sir took the blame so that I, the child would not get conscious.”
About War 2
War 2 marks to be the sixth instalment of YRF's Spy Universe. The film will showcase Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR and Kiara Advani in leading roles. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, War 2 is produced by Aditya Chopra's Yash Raj Films and is set to release in theatres on August 14, in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil.
