In the first look poster of Kumbha, Prithviraj Sukumar can be seen in a menacing new avatar as he sits on an automated wheelchair. Globe Trotter alternatively being called SSMB29 is SS Rajamouli's next big film after the massive success of Ram Charan and Jr NTR’s RRR, which features Ram Charan and Jr NTR in the lead. However, the team is yet to reveal the final title of the film.
Mahesh Babu is reportedly set to portray a “tough explorer” in this massive, high-budget project. With an estimated budget of $116 million, SSMB29 is being hailed as one of India’s most “grand and ambitious” films to date.
The film began production in Hyderabad earlier this year, followed by an extensive schedule in Odisha and several locations across Africa.
According to The Citizen, the film’s synopsis reads: "Inspired by Indiana Jones and African adventure classics, the film follows a rugged explorer who sets out on a high-stakes mission through uncharted terrain, battling nature, mystery, and a powerful enemy to uncover a long-lost secret that could change the world. Think ancient legends, wild landscapes, and edge-of-your-seat thrills."
