Ajay Devgn's Drishyam 3: The Conclusion is already seeing strong demand ahead of its theatrical release on October 2. The much-awaited third instalment
opened its advance bookings on September 27 and has recorded a sharp jump in ticket sales within the first 24 hours. The Abhishek Pathak directorial has sold around 1.80 lakh tickets for its opening day and has generated a gross of Rs 7.16 crore from advance sales, with three days to go for the release.
Drishyam 3 Advance Booking Indicates Huge Opening
Drishyam 3: The Conclusion has recorded Rs 7.16 crore in gross advance bookings for Day 1 across India, with around 1.80 lakh tickets sold, at the time of writing. The figures are based on 7,059 shows across 961 cinemas in 268 cities, according to Sacnilk. The tracker also shows an overall 11 per cent occupancy for the shows.
Maharashtra is currently leading the state-wise advance booking chart with Rs 2.23 crore in gross sales. Delhi follows with Rs 1.78 crore, while Gujarat has contributed Rs 54.33 lakh. West Bengal, Karnataka, and Uttar Pradesh are also among the leading markets. The top 10 states together account for 91 per cent of the film's Day 1 gross advance bookings.
The film is also seeing steady demand across different parts of the day. Evening shows have recorded the highest occupancy at 12 per cent, followed by morning and afternoon shows at 11 per cent each. Night shows are currently at 10 per cent. With several days still remaining before October 2, the advance numbers are expected to rise manifold.
Drishyam 3 is currently tracking to emerge as Ajay Devgn's biggest opener to date, going past Singham Again which collected around Rs 43 crore on Day 1.
Drishyam 3 arrives as the concluding chapter of the Hindi franchise. The film brings back Ajay Devgn as Vijay Salgaonkar and also features Tabu, Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Prakash Raj.
Drishyam 3 Certification And Runtime
Drishyam 3: The Conclusion has also completed its certification process ahead of its theatrical release. The film has received a U/A 16+ certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification and has an official runtime of 150 minutes, which translates to two hours and 30 minutes.
Additionally, the CBFC has reportedly cleared Drishyam 3 without asking the makers to make any audio or visual cuts or modifications. This means the version submitted by the makers has been approved without changes, allowing audiences to watch the film in the form intended by the team.
