The announcement of Jolly LLB 3's digital premiere was made by Netflix India with the caption, "Milord, permission to be Jolly cause tareekh mil gayi hai! Watch Jolly LLB 3, out 14 November, on Netflix." Writer-director Subhash Kapoor also returns to the helm of the franchise, and previous actresses Amrita Rao and Huma Qureshi are back reprising their roles from the previous films.
Gajraj Rao, Seema Biswas, Ram Kapoor, and Brijendra Kala are also part of the ensemble cast. The third film is based on the Bhatta Parsaul incident of 2011 and highlights the distressing plight of farmer suicides in the country. The first film, Jolly LLB, starring Arshad Warsi, was released in 2013, while the sequel with Akshay Kumar was released in 2017.

The Times Now review of the courtroom drama states, "A subject as sensitive and timely as farmers' suicide doesn’t hit the way it should have. Predictability being one of the villains, Jolly LLB 3 attempts to be a mirror to reality and say a lot. To its credit, the film does touch upon prickly topics. The second half of the film makes the real impact and changes the direction of the narrative. Jolly LLB 3 finds his voice when the courtroom drama blends those snappy and effective humour."
