Parineeti Chopra, who is gearing up for her comeback after welcoming her first child, is all praise for Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra and others for continuing to thrive professionally after embracing motherhood. Parineeti Chopra On Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone's Work After Motherhood
At the trailer launch of her upcoming Netflix project Shaque: Trust No One, Parineeti Chopra spoke about resuming work after embracing motherhood.
She said, "I'm so glad that our generation, including Alia (Bhatt), me, Deepika (Padukone), my own sister (Priyanka Chopra), who is working in the West, and all of us are able to be mothers and we are doing the same quality of work. In fact, I think we are doing better work now," she added.
Parineeti Chopra On How Audience, Industry Has Evolved
Talking about earlier generations that faced industry perceptions, Parineeti said it was unfortunate that one generation had to pay the price because audiences were perhaps not as excited to see mothers on screen, although she found it difficult to understand that mindset.
She added, "I would hate to stop working just because I became a mom. It's a two-way relationship, I've to be offered work and I would be sad to lose work because I've done such a beautiful thing in producing a baby."
"The audience is not cancelling mothers, and hence writers, directors and actors are able to make content," said the actress. She further said that the entertainment business is driven by supply and demand, with audiences playing an important role in bringing about this change. She expressed happiness that the industry was evolving and called the development positive.
Parineeti Chopra's New Show
Parineeti is all set to make her web show debut with Netflix's Shaque: Trust No One. It also stars Soni Razdan, Anup Soni, Jennifer Winget, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Harleen Sethi, Dhruv Chowdhary, and Sumeet Vyas.
The recently released trailer of the show gave glimpses into the plot. It shows Parineeti’s character returning to find her daughter, who was kidnapped nine years ago.
The show is co-created by Rensil D'Silva and Siddharth P Malhotra and will release on September 24, 2026.
