Salman Khan is bringing director Vamshi Paidipally to Hindi cinema with SVC63. Nayanthara returns to Bollywood after Jawan in 2023. The shoot for the much-anticipated
film is underway, and Khan recently celebrated the director’s birthday on set. Mounted on a massive scale, the makers are leaving no stone unturned in delivering a cinematic entertainer. Amid the shoot, a report claimed that Salman has taken almost a 60 per cent pay cut for the pan-India movie. Khan has been a part of the profit-sharing model in most of his films, but details about the share in SVC63 are not revealed.
Salman Khan cuts fees from Rs 120 crore to Rs 70 crore
According to Free Press Journal’s report, a source close to Salman said that the actor has dropped his fees from Rs 120 crore to Rs 70 crore for SVC63. Reportedly, Khan’s friend Rafi Kazi is the mediator on the film and will be credited as one of the producers. Salman, who is famous for his generosity towards friends, agreed to slash down his fees.
About SVC63
Reportedly, SVC63 follows a man rising against a corrupt system in a story exploring love, loyalty, and destiny. Produced by Dil Raju under Sri Venkateswara Creations, the film also features Anil Kapoor and Rajpal Yadav in key roles. Slated for an Eid 2027 release, the movie will be Salman and Nayanthara’s first film together.
Salman Khan's Maatrubhumi
While Salman is busy with SVC63, his other film, Maatrubhumi has been put on hold. Amid reports of it being postponed to 2027, the makers denied and confirmed the war drama is scheduled for a 2026 release. It was earlier scheduled to release in April. However, it was postponed indefinitely. According to a news portal, the Central Board of Film Certification reportedly withheld the clearance certificate. Reacting to it, the makers clarified that they are yet to send the final print to the CBFC for certification.
An official statement read, “Any claims suggesting that Maatrubhumi: May War Rest In Peace has encountered issues with the CBFC or that its certification has been put on hold are false. The film has not yet been submitted to the CBFC for certification. Therefore, such reports are entirely baseless. We request that media outlets and individuals refrain from circulating unverified information. Any official updates regarding the film will be shared by Salman Khan Films through its official channels only.”
Maatrubhumi is directed by Apoorva Lakhia and also stars Chitrangda Singh.
