Bill Gates will soon be seen on South Korean television screens. Adding shine to its esteemed guest list, variety show You Quiz on the Block will open
doors for the Microsoft co-founder and philanthropist soon. Hosted by popular comedians Yoo Jae-Suk and Jo Se-Ho, the tvN talk show happens to be one of the country's most celebrated for its diverse lineup of guests. So far it has featured guests from everyday citizens to global superstars. Bill Gates will also join the list by guest starring in an episode that promises to bing out his lesser known side of personality. Bill Gates' appearance confirmed
On August 18, tvN confirmed the news with a statement that was revealed by several Korean media. It read, "Bill Gates, a globally renowned entrepreneur and philanthropist, will appear on You Quiz on the Block during his visit to Korea this August."
Though the exact date of broadcast is yet to be announced, the episode will air later this month. "We are honored to invite Bill Gates to our show, who connects the world through technology and changes it through donations," CJ ENM added.
Uniqueness of the episode
CJ ENM key executive Nam Seung-Yong exlained how Bill Gates coming to the show was a unique opportunity. "You Quiz on the Block is a program that values all forms of life and conveys human dignity and mutual understanding through diverse personal stories. This aligns closely with the Gates Foundation’s core belief that ‘every life has equal value," Nam said.
"We are honored to host Bill Gates, a figure who connects the world through technology and transforms it through philanthropy," he added.
The announcement has already ignited a lot of excitement and interest in the upcoming episode.
