Salman Khan lands in legal trouble
In the Kota Consumer Court, Honey claimed that the company manufacturing the pan masala endorsed by Salman has engaged in false advertising. The product, that was advertised for containing ‘saffron-infused cardamom’ and ‘saffron-infused pan masala’, could mislead youngsters. Reports claim that the petitioner said in court that the claims couldn’t be true since saffron, worth Rs 4 lakh per kg, can’t be an ingredient in a product priced at Rs 5.

Confirming the same with ANI, the petitioner told, “Salman Khan is a role model for many people. We have filed a complaint against it in the Kota Consumer Court, and notices have been issued for a hearing. Celebrities or film stars in other countries don't even promote cold drinks, but they are promoting tobacco and pan masala. I urge them not to spread the wrong message to the youth, as pan masala is one of the leading causes of mouth cancer.”
Next hearing in November
The Kota Consumer Court has sent notices to the actor. Salman and the manufacturing company are yet to react to the petition. As per reports, the next hearing is on November 27.
Workwise, Salman is currently busy with the shoot of Battle Of Galwan, directed by Apoorva Lakhia. He is simultaneously hosting Bigg Boss 19 on weekends.
