What is the story about?
David Dhawan is returning to direction after six years with Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai. It reunites him with his son, Varun Dhawan. The romantic comedy
is scheduled for a May 2026 release. Ahead of the release, the makers unveiled a teaser featuring Varun with Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde. The one-minute and seven-second promo included two AI-generated babies, who were used to introduce the plot. In an interview, Dhawan responded to the ongoing debate around the clip featuring the babies.

But, the atmosphere around remakes isn’t positive any longer. According to David, the plot of Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai isn’t what was shown in the teaser.
