Janhvi Kapoor, Sidharth Malhotra On Reactions To Param Sundari
In a chat with Mirchi Plus, Sidharth and Janhvi opened up on receiving feedbacks as well as trolling on Mohanlal-Rajinikanth dialogues. Janhvi said, "I couldn't stop thinking about those dialogues and scenes all day. I kept replaying it in my mind because I felt it was such an important moment, and I was having a lot of fun. In fact, I think that was the first scene I performed when I read the script. When I was doing the readings, I felt that the dialogues were nice, but we needed to do something more. All the actors have their distinct styles, so I thought maybe we should try this or that. I was very excited."
On what they learnt from the film Param Sundari, Sidharth shared, "I think with all the traveling and food... I've learned about their tolerance for spice. They have a great tolerance for chilies. Also, I've learned from working with people from different backgrounds is that there's a beautiful Malayalam romantic song where they fly through the valleys and have a romance. I've even watched the video, and it's very nice. It was the first time I lip-synced to a Malayalam song, and it was sweet."
To the topic, Kapoor added, "By the time I was born, my dad had already become quite adapted to the South culture. In my head, the difference didn't seem that significant. However, after shooting this film, I realized that there are significant differences. Of course, language is a big thing, but I think both cultures are very expressive, just in different ways. I don't know how to explain it, but I think Punjabis are 100% foodies. It's very difficult to say, but everyone's got similarities on both sides - everyone loves food."
