Divyenndu in the lead roles, received positive reviews from the critics. Owing to a positive response, the audience gave a lot of love to the Gurmmeet Singh-directed film. On its first Sunday, Mirzapur The Movie took a big jump at the box office as it has now inched closer to a Rs 100 crore club. The return of Kaleen Bhaiya, Guddu Pandit and Munna Tripathi on the big screen has indeed worked in the favour of the film.

According to box-office tracking website Sacnilk, Mirzapur The Movie has minted Rs 36 crore on day 3. On Sunday, the film witnessed 12.5 percent growth from Saturday’s net collection of Rs 32 crore. Mirzapur The Movie’s shows increased on Sunday as the gangster drama managed to collect a whopping amount from 11,344 shows.
For the unversed, Mirzapur The Movie collected Rs 25.75 crore and Rs 32 crore on Friday and Saturday, respectively. In the first weekend, the Farhan Akhtar-produced film earned Rs 93.75 crore. It has now inched closer to the Rs 100 crore mark. On day 3, the film ran in theatres with 60.6 percent occupancy.
As far as the worldwide collections are concerned, Mirzapur The Movie earned Rs 7 crore on day 3 in the overseas market. The film has so far collected Rs 132.35 crore worldwide in just three days. It has to be noted that Mirzapur: The Movie has no Bollywood superstar, but the film managed to rule the hearts of the masses, all thanks to its strong fan base.
About Mirzapur The Movie
Mirzapur is probably the first Indian web series, which was turned into a film for the big screen. Ali Fazal recently visited one of the theatres in India to see the live reactions of the audience during the film’s screening. He got overwhelmed after seeing the housefull board placed outside the theatre.
Mirzapur The Movie is directed by Gurmmeet Singh. It also stars Jitendra Kumar, who replaced Vikrant Massey, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Shweta Tripathi, Rasika Dugal, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Ravi Kishan and others in key roles. For the unversed, Mirzapur web series’ first season was released in 2018. After its popularity, the makers came up with the second and third seasons in 2020 and 2024, respectively.
