Why did Salman Khan's video go viral?
Salman was at the Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA) office in Mumbai. During his visit, he inaugurated the newly developed Data Collection and Segregation Support Centre (IT Server Room). A video went viral immediately, wherein the superstar looked tired and not in his usual form. One of the reasons could be trigeminal neuralgia.
What is the rare disease of Salman Khan?
The actor has been diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia, which is an extremely painful chronic facial pain disorder often referred to as the ‘suicide disease’. In 2025, Salman told on Kapil Sharma's The Great Indian Kapil Show that he is working and living with multiple serious medical conditions, including trigeminal neuralgia, a brain aneurysm, and an AV malformation.
He said, "Hum ye jo daily ki haddiyan tudwa rahe hain, pasliyan toot gai, trigeminal neuralgia ke sath kaam kar rahe hain, aneurysm hai brain mein uske bawajood kaam kar rahe hain. AV malformation hai, uske bawajood chal rahe hain.”
(Translation: I'm out here breaking my bones every day - ribs are fractured, I'm working despite having trigeminal neuralgia, there's an aneurysm in the brain, yet I'm still working. There’s also an AV malformation, and still, I'm carrying on.)
The condition causes sudden, intense, electric shock-like pain on one side of the face. Patients often experience severe discomfort while eating, chewing, speaking or even touching their face due to disrupted nerve signals. The pain can significantly impact daily life, making the condition extremely difficult to live with.
