What is the story about?
Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan, known for their iconic 1994 film Main Khiladi Tu Anari, are back together, but in completely different avatars. The Bollywood
stars are set to star in Haiwaan, helmed by acclaimed director Priyadarshan. The highly anticipated crime thriller’s teaser was finally unveiled by the makers today, sending fans into a tizzy. Starring Akshay as a psychopath, the film explores the dark and intense world of this gripping actioner. The story follows a martial artist who is falsely accused of murder. It is the Hindi remake of the Malayalam crime thriller Oppam, which was also directed by Priyadarshan and starred Mohanlal.
Haiwaan Teaser Out
The makers of Haiwaan finally treated fans to the much-awaited teaser on Wednesday (August 12). It shows Akshay in a never-seen-before look, playing the evil antagonist. Saif Ali Khan, meanwhile, plays a visually impaired man accused of murdering a retired judge. He must now uncover the real serial killer while protecting a young girl.
The teaser doesn’t reveal much, but it effectively sets the intense mood of the crime thriller. Its neo-noir setting and background score add an eerie atmosphere. Meanwhile, Akshay’s sinister laugh towards the end is sure to give you goosebumps.
Sharing the glimpse, Kumar wrote, "HE hears the danger… I AM the danger! Ab jeet kiski hogi? Hero ya Haiwaan?"

Akshay Kumar-Priyadarshan Reunite With Haiwaan
The successful actor-director duo, who have worked together on films including Hera Pheri (2000), Garam Masala (2005) and Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007) among others, recently reunited for horror-comedy Bhooth Bangla. The film, also starringTabu, Paresh Rawal, Wamiqa Gabbi, Asrani and Rajpal Yadav, hit the screens earlier this year and garnered decent buzz.
With Haiwaan, Akshay and Priyadarshan are now moving away from their familiar comic territory. The film promises to give their partnership an entirely new dimension.

Talking about Haiwaan, Akshay recently revealed that his role is devoid of any moral ambiguity and is completely evil. He shared that portraying a psychopath had been on his wish list for a long time. The Welcome To The Jungle actor explained that he has deliberately experimented with varied genres in his recent projects, including comedy, horror, action and drama.
According to him, Haiwaan presented an opportunity to push himself further by portraying a genuinely sinister character for the first time. He added that constantly challenging himself as an actor is important to him, which makes this role even more exciting.
