Salman Khan joined the relief efforts to help the state’s flood-hit villages. Salman Khan To Adopt Punjab's Flood-Hit Villages With heavy monsoon rains leaving many areas submerged, his Being Human Foundation has provided five rescue boats to assist locals. Three of these boats are already being used to evacuate stranded residents, deliver food, and support volunteers in hard-to-reach areas, while the remaining two were handed over at the Ferozepur border. Punjab Tourism Chairman Deepak Bali confirmed the update and shared that the foundation also plans to adopt some of the worst-affected villages near Husainiwala. He said, “We are doing as much as we can. We have contributed to the relief fund. Even famous singers from Punjab are helping in every way they can, keeping their rivalries aside.” Before him, Akshay came forward to help Punjab in a time of need. He has donated Rs 5 crore to support relief and rehabilitation efforts in the flood-ravaged state. Talking about his contribution, he shared, “Yes, I am giving Rs 5 crores for buying relief material for the Punjab flood victims, but who am I to ‘donate’ to anyone? I feel blessed when I get an opportunity to extend a helping hand. For me, it’s my sewa, my very small contribution. I pray that the natural calamity that has struck my brothers and sisters in Punjab passes soon. Rab mehr kare.” Meanwhile, Sonu Sood has arrived in Punjab to assist with the reconstruction of villages affected by the floods.
